When Amaru is forcefully thrown into the flying lifeboat by Sasuke, Hinata catches the girl, smiles, and says Sasuke's name in surprise. Notably, Hinata used the honorific "kun" when she called out Sasuke's name in the Japanese version, suggesting she saw him as a friend.
Charasuke Road to Ninja CD Drama[]
In the Road to Ninja alternate universe, Hinata hosts a group date in order to try to pair up Sakura and Sasuke. Ino hears about the group date and decides to do everything she can to prevent those two from becoming a couple, however.
Eventually, Ino becomes desperate and transfers her mind to Hinata's body. While in Hinata's body, she pulls Sasuke away from the group. After Ino, in Hinata's body, tells Sasuke that she never wanted such things to happen, Sasuke's heartbeat speeds up. Ino then leaves Hinata's body, and a confused Hinata regains awareness and sees that she is with Sasuke for some reason. Under the impression that Hinata had fallen in love with him, Sasuke tells her that he accepts her feelings. Angered by this, Hinata punches Sasuke and leaves.
