OroIta (Japanese オロイタ OroIta) is the term used to refer to the romantic relationship between Orochimaru and Itachi Uchiha, in which Orochimaru plays the dominant role and Itachi the submissive role. The term for the couple where the roles are reversed is ItaOro (Japanese イタオロ ItaOro).
Itachi Pursuit ArcEdit
Orochimaru remember his time in Akatsuki. When Itachi joined Akatsuki after the Uchiha clan massacre, Orochimaru saw his opportunity to steal Itachi's body to gain the sharingan but but Itachi trapped him in his genjutsu and cut Orochimaru's left hand to prevent him from breaking the genjutsu that he was under, which lead to him leaving Akatsuki to acquire a new body.
During the battle between the Uchiha brothers, when Sasuke ran out of chakra, Orochimaru gained control and reappeared through his Eight Branches Technique. When Orochimaru thanked Itachi for pushing Sasuke so far, setting him free, allowing him to have the chance to take control Sasuke's body, Itachi immediately stabbed Orochimaru with his Totsuka Sword to seal him away with Susanoo, as well as removing the cursed seal from Sasuke. Orochimaru escaped from Susanoo, but was later killed by Itachi's Amaterasu.
Among the FansEdit
OroIta is not a popular pairing and it is also not nearly as popular as other yaoi couples inolving Orochimaru but it still has a few pieces of fanart and some fanfictions.
